When I grew up in the midwest, I loved going to sleep in the summer listening to the crickets. Here, in the midwest, there are no crickets to set me off in a deep slumber, but there are frogs and toads. Their songs are amazing. They sing the loudest in the spring when they mate. Right now it is fall, and there are a few singing a song that they are happy the rains are back and their winter sleep is near. I love it:)
